Dr Kylie

Palliative Care Veterinarian

Dr Kylie and Canine

Dr Kylie is a veterinarian who brings a calm and caring presence to every family she supports. Growing up in southeast Queensland, she initially imagined working with equine patients, but her journey through equine and mixed practice led her to small animal medicine. She discovered her true calling in supporting senior pets and their families through integrative and palliative care.

Trained in animal chiropractic, acupuncture, and rehabilitation, with international certification in chiropractic and additional qualifications in equine and canine therapeutic acupuncture, Kylie provides tailored support for pets navigating aging, chronic conditions, and end-of-life care.

Her passion for palliative medicine was shaped by her beloved senior dog, Yoshi. She understands the emotional weight of saying goodbye and is dedicated to helping families feel supported, understood, and never alone. Kylie’s warmth, empathy, and quiet strength guide families through the hardest decisions with dignity and compassion.

Special interests: Feline medicine, rehabilitation, integrative and palliative care.

It always starts with one. Who was your special pet? Yoshi was my heart dog. He wasn’t my first, but without a doubt, he was the one. We originally brought him home for my now-husband, but he chose me. He was by my side through every chapter of my adult life.

Supporting him through his senior years revealed a gap in traditional veterinary medicine, and this experience profoundly shifted how I approach care. His journey taught me how vital it is to support not only the animal, but also the people who love them.

What else are you passionate about? Despite being a dog lover, I also have a particular passion for feline medicine. I love nature photography, capturing sunrises and sunsets, and spending time travelling with my family.

What do you love about palliative medicine? Palliative medicine gives me the opportunity to truly honor the bond between pets and their people. I believe strongly in empowering owners to feel supported, informed, and confident throughout every step of the journey. Being able to offer comfort, clarity, and presence during such a meaningful time is something I deeply value.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons), Certified in Animal Chiropractor (CAC), Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT), Diploma of Equine and Canine Therapeutic Acupuncture
